Our Mission
The mission of the 40th BSB Alumni Association is to support those currently serving and their family members, as well as past members of the 40th Brigade Support Battalion. The association is dedicated to helping members and their families who are in need and provide resources for various services.
History
Organized 13 January 1974 in the California Army National Guard from existing units in the Los Angeles Area as the 40th Supply and Transportation Battalion, with Headquarters at Bell, and assigned to the 40th Infantry Division.
Reorganized and redesigned 1 August 1985 as the 1st Support Battalion, 40th Infantry Division Support Command.
Reorganized and redesignated 1 June 1984 in the California and Nevada Army National Guard as the 40th Support Battalion and remained assigned to the 40th Infantry Division.
Home Area: Los Angeles and vicinity.
Campaigns the Battalion has participated in: World War I and Korean War, World War II – AP.
